Thursday 7pm. Rorke Store Museum patio. We're getting the Carbonear Days Weekend off to a beautiful start with our 2nd Annual Accordian Fest! Come along and join us and enjoy. SUNDAY Aug 6: Our annual ride around the Baccalieu Trail departing from Paddy's Garden at 1:00pm featuring 50/50 tickets along the way.

A celebration of the town's history and culture which takes place each year during the first weekend of August. This event is filled with fun, children's activities, walking and boat tours, and various types of entertainment for the whole family including some traditional food. Over a four day period, beginning on the Friday of the first weekend of August, all ages come out to enjoy the activities prepared by the Carbonear Special Events Committee. Everything from harbour boat tours, fishing contests, heritage craft displays such as quilts and hooked mats, a variety of games and tournaments including the Carbonear World Cup of Tiddly, all contriute to the event. Free admission to museums from August 4th to August 6th.
10th Annual World Cup of Tiddly - August 6th, 2017 as part of Carbonear Days
Tiddly is a Newfoundland game played with two sticks, and the World Cup of Tiddly is a unique event. The 10th Annual World Cup of Tiddly will be held in 2017.
Since the first World Cup of Tiddly, the number of teams has doubled and a Ladies Division and trophies have been introduced.

Come join us on the patio deck of the Rorke Store Museum and bring your Accordion! If the weather is bad, we'll take it indoors in the Loft Theater.

7:00pm: Moxley Cemetery Tour.
Leaves Bethany United Church Side Gate. Entertainment to follow at the Rorke Store Museum Loft and our signature Bed Night Lunch.

2:00pm: 9th Annual World Cup of Tiddly
Men's and Woman's teams (5 or 6 players per team) Pre-registration, rules and further information on the Town website: www.carbonear.ca. Registration is also available at 1pm at the Carbonear Recreation Complex. Please bring own gloves and safety equipment. "Hooked on Tiddly" T-shirts are also available for purchase.
2:00pm: St. Patrick's Parish Walking Tour
Beginning at the parking lot. Tour includes church, grounds, and a visit with some historical past members of the parish, entertainment and refreshments to follow. $5 admission.
2:30pm-4:00pm: Free Swim
at the Carbonear Pool
2:30-5:00pm: Princess and Pirates Walk and Children's Activities
Rorke Store Premises. Dress in your Pirate and Princess Outfits.
Monday, August 7th
8:00am: Fish 'n' Brew's Breakfast
Knights of Columbus. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE! $10 per plate.
11:00am: Carbonear Day Parade
Parade route is from the Salvation Army Citadel to the Civic Centre where prizes will be awarded for the best decorated bike, costume, wagon, float, motorized vehicle and best dressed dog. Prizes awarded to ALL children participating. Student interpreter/actors will participate in the parade and will dress in period costume. Museums will be open all day.
1:00pm-4:00pm: Carbonear Day Family Celebrations
Paddys Garden (Weather permitting-otherwise cancelled). Bouncy castle, Pony rides, face painting, fish pond, cupcake decorating, etc.
1:30pm-2:30pm: Little Miss & Mr. Carbonear Pageant
Paddy's Garden (Weather permitting-otherwise cancelled). Ages 5-7. Must be 5 by Dec 31st, 2017 to participate. 16 contestants accepted on a first-come basis. Pre-registration by calling Denise @ 596-3213. No entry fee required.
4:00pm: Free Swim
at the Carbonear Pool.
